Friends University seeks applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions in English (Composition and American Literature) with duties beginning August 2010. Responsibilities will include a 4/4 teaching load, advising and other university service. A minimum of a Master’s degree is required; Ph.D. preferred.
Applicants for the Composition Faculty position should be prepared to teach a combination of developmental and first-year composition courses. Preference will be given to the candidate who has training in English and composition with relevant college teaching experience.
Applicants for the American Literature Faculty position should be prepared to teach students majoring in interdisciplinary programs (English/Drama) and general education courses in composition and literature. Preferences will be given to a candidate who has demonstrated skills in teaching and scholarship.
Review of applicants begins 3/10/2010 and the position will remain open until filled. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications.
