Nyack College's School of Education, Master's of Science in Education Program has a full-time tenure track position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Special Education to start in the fall of 2010. Responsibilities include teaching courses for the Master's in Special Education program located on both the Rockland and Manhattan campuses, fieldwork in diverse settings, advising teacher candidates, participating in scholarly and service activities, serving on department and university committees and collaborating with public and private schools.
Nyack College, an accredited institution of Christian higher education offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through programs at the college and its seminary, Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS). Over 45 majors are available to the more than 3,000 students who currently study at the New York City commuter campus and on the residential campus in scenic Rockland County, NY, just 25 miles north of midtown Manhattan. Candidates must be committed to Christian Education and a Christian World View. Ph.D or Ed. D. in Education specializing in Special Education is preferred. ABD will be considered. Successful experience teaching a range of Special Education courses at the graduate level, a minimum of three years teaching experience, and credentialed in special education are required. In addition, candidates should have strong research interests and a commitment to scholarship.
